Mission/Purpose
The Timber Piling Council provides information on the design, production and installation of treated timber piles to structural and geotechnical engineers, developers and construction firms, and promotes the use of treated timber piles in all applications where they are appropriate.
The Timber Piling Council serves as a bridge between the design community and industry experts to provide accurate, up-to-date information.
Available on this website is a copy of our Timber Pile Design and Construction Manual that provides technical information on the design, specification, installation and testing of timber piles.
Timber Piling Council
The Timber Piling Council was created to provide information on the various aspects of treated timber piles and to promote their use in deep foundations and infrastructure projects. The Council is supported by the producers of timber piling and their chemical and timber suppliers.
The information provided addresses the design, production, application, and installation of timber piles. It is derived from research and experience with timber, the treatment process, and the deep foundation industry.
